Lieber(1-0) was tremendous on the mound for Jefferson Park. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Jefferson Park rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon. Kris Benson(0-1) ended up with the loss. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 walk. 'Lieber gave us exactly what we needed tonight,' Steve Seydell said. 'When he threw the fastball he threw it for strikes. They were really fooled by his change. Most of the time he had them chasing it.'
